Neon Kactus was founded in 2018 by Charlotte Gornall, a coffee purist on a mission to protect our planet. She wanted to produce an on the go, reusable cup (99% of disposable cups aren’t recyclable as they contain polyurethane plastic) that would mirror the drinking pleasure of the coffee (or tea!) shop and would look stylish too.
The resulting Neon Kactus glass cup is made from durable borosilicate glass with a unique textured silicone thermal sleeve and ergonomically designed splash proof silicone lid. Tested BPA free. Glass is less permeable than plastic, meaning the cup will not absorb residual tastes, odours or germs so the drink inside will taste just as it should. The Neon Kactus cups are also thicker than many other glass cups on the market, which means they will keep drinks warmer for longer and are more comfortable to hold (especially helpful when used for black/herbal teas).
We consider silicone an environmentally acceptable and safe material to use – it’s very durable, reusable and non-toxic.
The cups are currently available in one size – a barista friendly 12oz / 340ml. This will fit perfectly under all coffee machines.
Available to buy from Hemming & Wills for £14.95.
