Georganics Mouthwash

A blend of coconut oil and essential oils the Georganics range of mouthwashes use an ancient Ayurveic practice of oil pulling to help maintain a healthy mouth.

Why make the switch?

Many people use mouthwashes on a daily basis to help keep their mouth in tip top condition and their breath fresh. But many of the ingredients in commercial mouthwashes could be argued to be doing harm as well as good. Ingredients such as Alcohol kill not only bad but good bacteria too, can lead to the mouth becoming overly dry and contribute to the increased risk of developing oral cancer.
Ayurveic oil pulling has been used for between 3& 5000 years,  it is used to draw toxins from the mouth through the action of pulling and pushing the oil around your mouth. This allows it to collect and trap bacteria which live around the teeth and gums.

Coconut oil is known to be great for this due to its natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

The essential oils have been carefully chosen for the mouthwashes due to the benefits they also bring to the table:

Peppermint, is extremely effective at targeting bacteria which thrive in low oxygen environments (like the mouth) These bacteria can be responsible for gum disease.
Spearmint has similar qualities to peppermint but with a softer flavour
Tea Tree has natural antiseptic and cleansing properties, making it a great aid in healing gum disease.
Red Mandarin, has gentle soothing properties and is safe for children and for use during pregnancy.
Activated charcoal, not an essential oil! But adds a mildly abrasive quality to the mouthwash, the charcoal is also highly porous and traps bacteria within it as well as helping to remove stains and naturally whiten.
