The unique, therapeutic oil has been thoughtfully blended to help support women post-birth, either to soothe the effects of a vaginal delivery, or used to support the healing process of a C-Section wound.

Containing 100% pure essential oils including, Helichrysum, which is thought to increase the body’s own ability to heal and Geranium, that is understood to be excellent for balancing new mum’s fluctuating post-natal hormones. It also contains Lavender oil, which is not only popular for its skinhealing properties, but new studies have shown that it can be effective in reducing perineal discomfort following an episiotomy.

The calming oil has been cleverly created to heal and prevent infection. It also has antiseptic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties that will help provide women with much-needed relief from post-delivery pain. The Padsicle Soother will not only ease swelling and bruising following an episiotomy or perineal tear, it will also relieve the discomfort experienced after a C-section.

As if this isn’t enough, the Padsicle Soother oil also has a calming, balancing aroma that will help support new mums emotionally during your first post-natal days.

One of the best ways to use the oils it to make soothing ‘padsicles’. Founder of Babyopathy, Angela Spencer, explains: “It is so simple to create a cooling Padsicle soother. Mix 10 drops of the Padsicle Soother oil with 10ml of Witch Hazel Hydrolat, which is renowned for its healing effect on the skin. Spread a thick layer of Aloe Vera gel onto a maternity pad and add at least 5 sprays of the oil blend on the gel. Wrap the pad back up in its wrapper or seal in a freezer bag and pop it in the freezer.”

She added: “These cooling Padsicle soothers can be taken in the hospital bag to apply immediately after birth, they will also be an ideal support to aid healing in the days that follow.” The versatile oil blend can also be used for mums who have had a caesarean section, as the Witch Hazel blend can be spritzed directly onto the wound once the dressing has been removed.

This blend is not just for use following pregnancy, it can be sprayed onto normal sanitary towels to support a woman’s normal menstrual cycle. A truly multipurpose, healing oil!
